The Junior Phlebotomy Technician Class is designed for students ages 13–17 who are interested in learning the fundamentals of phlebotomy, patient care, and medical careers. This class introduces students to real-world clinical skills in a safe, educational, and age-appropriate environment while building confidence, professionalism, and leadership.
Students will learn:
Introduction to phlebotomy and healthcare careers
Medical terminology and anatomy basics
Infection control and safety procedures
Proper hand hygiene and PPE use
Venipuncture demonstrations and simulated practice
Blood collection equipment and order of draw
Vital signs and patient interaction skills
CPR and workplace professionalism
Healthcare ethics and communication
